This scenic 100-mile foot race combines two of The Best trail races in Northern California: American River 50 and Way Too Cool 50K. With Folsom Lake as the sparkling back drop, you’ll traverse oak woodland and meadows, over bridges and creeks, up and down switchbacks and along the most spectacular trails in the area. Rio Del Lago 100 Miler begins at beautiful Beal’s Point, Folsom Lake State Recreation Area in the Sierra-Nevada Foothills. Merge onto State Road and follow it for 1.1 miles to a left turn into Bass River State Forest. Bear left on Leektown Road (Route 653) and follow it for 2.7 miles. Follow 693 for 2.7 miles then turn left onto Nesco Road (Route 542). After 0.2 miles make slight left onto Columbia Road (Route 693). After 1.3 miles turn left onto Myrtle Street. After 14.7 miles turn left onto Middle Road (Route 613). At traffic circle take the 1st exit onto US-206 South. Take NJ-70 East to intersection with US-206. Drive 1.2 mi on Stage Road, then turn left into Bass River State Forest. Go 5.7 mi then make a slight left onto 653/Leektown Road. After 13.7 mi, you will reach a fork in the road. At the traffic circle, take the second exit onto 72 E. After 2.7 mi, turn right onto Magnolia Road. Head south on US-206 and make a left onto 530 E. Continue on Stage Road for 0.8 mi, then turn left into the Bass River State Forest. Turn right onto Route 654/E Greenbush Road. which is the start/finish location.įrom the Garden State Parkway:Take exit 52 for New Gretna. All participants will park at the Lake Absegami Day Use Parkng Lot in Bass River State Forest.
